David and his wife Cyndie moved to Beckley WV in 1995. David and Cyndie joined LA East Fitness as soon as he moved to the area. He heard through co-workers that LA East Fitness was the best fitness center in the area. In 2003 David and two good friends purchased LA East Fitness. In 2010, David bought out his partners to attempt to take LA East Fitness to another level. September 2011 CrossFit Beckley was opened up inside the fitness center. In December 2012 LA East Fitness became 24/7/365 to give their members more flexibility to achieve their fitness needs.

David and I have been residents of Beckley since 1995 and joined LA East Fitness soon after we relocated here. So many changes have happened since then, including being blessed with 3 children. Through the years I have struggled to find balance between work, family, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I understand how challenging it can be to juggle all of our “titles” but also know the necessity of it. I have come to realize how important exercise truly is, not only for the heart healthy benefits but also the mental benefits. Exercise enables me to have the strength and endurance to juggle my everyday tasks, keep up with 3 active kids and keep a clear mind. I love being in the gym and interacting with our members.
